Our everyday life for
those who practice, is constant battle between ( entertainment) and
(practice) we are in this civilisation where the entertainment is
huge even when we are kids the first things we know it's to entertain
ourself.
Later in life we keep
this habit and when life comes to end lot of us have regrets, when we
look at our life, we want to have nice life be happy and so on.
But what it takes to be
happy and we need to make action, we need to train ourself to learn
skills and practice train on mind for those who have take refuge,
it's like if you are an athlete but never train how you will be able
to run .
If we take the simple
example of the prostration in buddhism it's really hard and if we
don't prepare our body for that it's kind wanted to climb the mount
Everest without be trained.
Whatever our teacher
are, a Lama, Coach, School teacher whatever, they are really kind to
train us to take time to show us the way so if we don't take the step
behind to follow the teaching and apply to our life it's purely a
wast of time for them, we can have all the tool and all the teaching
we want but if we never apply them they are wast.
In buddhism we have a
lot of time this figure people want practice high tantra but they
don't want prostrate or they don't want to preliminary practice, one
of my personal example is Lama Tsongkhapa have performed millions of
prostrations, another example is late Kalu Rinpoche he have performed
prostration even when he was really old.
When we do whatever
exercise dharmic or not it's always for our benefit when we take
time to learn from course and so on all of this it's for our benefit
so all kind of entertainment are useless we maybe bring fun but no
more than that.
Procrastination is like
decease in our 21st century !
